Step by step: create the first 30-second clip
- Open VeilPix and select Video above the prompt composer.
- Open Model and choose Seedance 2.5.
- Open Duration. Choose Automatic if you want the model to select a length from 4 to 30 seconds, or set an exact duration up to 30 seconds.
- Choose the aspect ratio and resolution that match the final destination. VeilPix currently exposes the 480p and 720p choices documented by the active API.
- For text-to-video, open References, leave Style & characters selected, and do not add media. For image-to-video, video-to-video, or multimodal work, add the relevant images, videos, or audio there.
- Open Options. Choose MOV for an editing-oriented workflow or MP4 for maximum playback compatibility.
- Enable Return last frame. This asks the provider to include a separate final-frame image with the completed video.
- Write the first scene prompt and select Generate.
How to continue from the last frame
When the first clip finishes, preview the ending and select Continue from last frame below the video. VeilPix follows one shared continuation process:
- If Seedance returned a dedicated last-frame image, VeilPix uses it first.
- If that image is missing or cannot be downloaded, VeilPix extracts the latest usable non-black frame from the video.
- The resolved frame is saved as a normal image in your browser-local VeilPix gallery.
- VeilPix switches to Seedance frame mode and places the image in the Start frame slot.

You do not have to enable Return last frame for continuation to work. The legacy video-frame extractor remains available as a fallback. Enabling the option is preferable because a provider-created frame avoids browser seeking and video boundary artifacts, while the extractor keeps the workflow resilient.
Write continuation prompts as the next beat
Do not repeat the entire first prompt as though the scene is starting over. The start frame already carries the visible character, environment, and composition. Describe the next action, the camera behavior, and what should remain consistent.
Continuation prompt pattern
Continue from the supplied frame. The subject [next action]. The camera [movement]. Preserve [character, wardrobe, environment, lighting]. End with [the visual state needed for the following clip].
Stitch the clips into a longer video
After generating the connected clips, open Video Editor below a video result. The editor combines two clips at a time:
- Add the first clip to Clip 1 and the continuation to Clip 2.
- Select Stitch videos and keep the tab open while VeilPix renders both clips.
- Preview the joined result, then download it or select Save to gallery.
- For three or more clips, use the saved stitched result as Clip 1 and add the next continuation as Clip 2. Repeat until the sequence is complete.
Because every continuation begins from the prior clip's resolved frame, the cut has a stronger visual match than two unrelated generations. Movement can still change across the boundary, so use compatible camera direction and action language on both sides of the edit.
Practical tips for a more consistent long-form result
- Keep a continuity note. Reuse short descriptions for wardrobe, lighting, lens style, time of day, and recurring objects.
- Plan around visible transitions. A held pose, closed door, completed camera move, or settled product shot gives the next clip a stable place to begin.
- Use references selectively. Character and style images can improve continuity, but exact first-frame mode and multimodal reference mode are separate workflows.
