Privacy & data practices

VeilPix privacy, explained plainly.

Your creations are not a social feed or an account-synced gallery. VeilPix keeps your working history in your browser, proxies generation requests through our server, and sends only the content needed to create your result. Cloud AI still requires cloud processing, so this page also explains exactly where your content goes and how long the provider says it remains there.

Effective and last updated: July 14, 2026

No public gallery

VeilPix does not publish your creations or make them discoverable to other users.

Browser-local history

Your VeilPix gallery, prompts, and workflow history stay in this browser unless you clear them.

Identity-shielded requests

The AI gateway receives our server connection, not your direct browser IP, email, or payment identity.

14-day provider media window

Kie.ai says generated media is automatically deleted after 14 days; task text and metadata remain longer.

The honest promise

Private by design does not mean “never leaves your device.”

VeilPix is a cloud AI tool. Your prompt and any reference media must be sent for generation. Our privacy approach is to avoid building a server-side creative profile around that content, avoid publishing it, and separate your direct identity from the request sent to the AI gateway.

What VeilPix does

  • Keeps creation history and saved prompts in browser storage.
  • Proxies AI calls through the VeilPix API.
  • Uses temporary media URLs only when a model requires them.
  • Avoids a public feed and account-linked cloud gallery.
  • Does not use creative content to train a VeilPix model.

What VeilPix cannot promise

  • That prompts and media never leave your device.
  • That cloud providers retain nothing after generation.
  • That content itself cannot reveal who you are.
  • That an active result URL is private if you share it.
  • Absolute anonymity or security on the internet.

Request flow

How a creation moves through VeilPix

The shortest accurate version is browser to VeilPix to AI provider, then back to your browser.

1 Your browser

You choose media and enter a prompt. Local gallery items, thumbnails, prompts, and settings are stored in browser storage on that device.

2 VeilPix API

Your request reaches our server over HTTPS. We verify your account and credits, select the model, and submit the generation with a server-side API key.

3 Temporary media

When a model needs a URL, VeilPix temporarily uploads the reference file to Supabase Storage. We attempt to delete it as soon as the job completes or fails. A failed cleanup can delay deletion.

4 Kie.ai & model infrastructure

Kie.ai receives the prompt, model settings, and necessary media or temporary URLs. It sees the VeilPix server connection and VeilPix API identity, not your direct browser IP, email, Clerk identity, or Stripe details.

5 Your result

Image results are returned to the app and may be saved in your local browser gallery. Video entries can point to provider-hosted result files, so download anything you want to keep.

Provider retention: Kie.ai's current documentation says generated media files are stored for 14 days and then automatically deleted. It separately says task logs containing text and metadata are stored for two months. Those are Kie.ai's practices, not a claim that VeilPix controls the provider's storage.

Data inventory

What we handle and why

Data Where it goes Purpose and retention
Prompts & reference media VeilPix API, temporary storage when required, Kie.ai and model infrastructure Used to perform the requested generation. VeilPix does not create a server-side creative library. Kie.ai documents separate retention for generated media and task logs.
Local gallery & settings Your browser's IndexedDB and local storage Lets you revisit work and preferences. It remains until you delete gallery items, use Clear All, or clear site data. It does not automatically sync across devices.
Account information Clerk and VeilPix's Supabase database Email, authentication identifiers, account status, and credit balance are used to operate and secure your account.
Usage records VeilPix's Supabase database Request type, credit cost, task identifier, processing time, success or error status, and similar operational metadata support billing, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Payment information Stripe Stripe processes payment details. VeilPix stores transaction and customer references but does not receive your full card number.
Site analytics Google Analytics Page, feature, device, and network information helps us understand product use. VeilPix does not put prompts or media into its custom analytics events. IP anonymization is enabled, Google signals and ad personalization are disabled, and the configured analytics cookie lifetime is 30 days.
Security & server logs VeilPix infrastructure Routes, response status, timing, task IDs, IP information in error/security contexts, and error details may be logged to operate and defend the service. Standard generation logs are designed not to record raw prompts or full media payloads.

Service providers

Who helps operate VeilPix

We use service providers only for functions the product needs:

  • Kie.ai and underlying model infrastructure for AI image and video generation.
  • Supabase for account, usage, billing-reference, and temporary object storage.
  • Clerk for sign-in, sessions, and account authentication.
  • Stripe for credit purchases and payment processing.
  • Google Analytics for privacy-configured product and traffic measurement.
  • Hosting and security providers for application delivery, networking, logging, and protection.

These providers process data under their own terms and policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.

A narrow comparison

How VeilPix differs from several direct AI products

Privacy comparisons are only useful when they are specific. This table compares a few published defaults as of July 14, 2026. Plans, settings, regions, and business products can change the result.

Service Published default or practice VeilPix distinction
Midjourney Midjourney says creations are open by default and may appear on Explore; Stealth Mode is limited to Pro and Mega plans. VeilPix has no public creation feed. Your local gallery is not published to other users.
Consumer ChatGPT OpenAI says individual-service content may be used to improve models unless the user opts out; Temporary Chat follows different rules. VeilPix does not use your content to train a VeilPix model and does not maintain an account-synced creative history. Provider processing still applies.
Google AI Studio / Gemini API Google's terms say content submitted through unpaid services may be used to improve products and may be reviewed by humans; paid services have different data-use terms. VeilPix avoids sending your direct account identity to Kie.ai and does not build a server-side gallery, but Kie.ai and model-provider terms still govern cloud processing.

VeilPix is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Midjourney, OpenAI, Google, Kie.ai, or the model operators available through the service.

Your controls

Practical choices you can make

Delete local creations

Remove individual gallery items or use Clear All. Clearing the browser's VeilPix site data also removes locally stored history and settings.

Save videos you need

Download provider-hosted videos before the 14-day media window ends. A local gallery entry does not extend the provider link's lifetime.

Limit identifying content

Remove location metadata and avoid faces, documents, or details you do not want processed by a cloud AI provider.

Exercise data rights

Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and transaction-record obligations.

Security & limits

Important limits to understand

We use HTTPS, server-side provider credentials, authenticated endpoints, rate limits, and access-controlled account systems. No online service can guarantee perfect security or anonymity.

Temporary provider and storage URLs can be accessed by someone who obtains the full URL while it remains active. Do not share result links publicly unless you intend others to see them. Content can also identify you on its own even when VeilPix does not send your account details with the AI request.

VeilPix is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product, providers, or law changes. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
