VeilPix is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your images and creative work belong to you alone. This policy explains how we handle your data - spoiler: we collect almost nothing.
Image Processing
What We Do NOT Store
- Your Images: Photos are processed in real-time and immediately discarded after editing
- Your Prompts: Text descriptions you enter are not logged or stored
- Editing History: Your undo/redo history exists only in your browser
- Generated Images: Output images are delivered directly to your browser
AI Processing
VeilPix uses third-party AI models (Nano Banana Pro via Google Gemini, and SeeDream 4.0 via ByteDance) to process your images. When you submit an image for editing:
- Your image is sent to the AI provider for processing
- The AI provider processes your request and returns the result
- We do not retain copies of images sent to AI providers
- AI providers have their own privacy policies regarding temporary processing
Account Information
If you choose to create an account (via Clerk authentication), we collect:
- Email address: For account identification and communication
- Usage count: Number of AI editing credits used
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe (we never see your full card number)
Analytics
We use Google Analytics with privacy-enhanced settings:
- IP anonymization enabled
- No advertising signals
- No ad personalization
- Limited cookie retention (30 days)
Cookies
VeilPix uses minimal cookies only for essential functionality:
- Authentication: Session cookies if you sign in
- Preferences: Local storage for settings (AI model selection, theme)
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (anonymized)
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your account data
- Request deletion of your account
- Export your usage history
- Opt out of analytics
